I’m a Swedish artist, researcher and senior lecturer based in Stockholm.
My whole life I have been working with the visual language, mainly as an industrial designer, but later also as design researcher and educator. A few years ago I bought some paints and brushes and went for a summer week of painting, it turned out to be a starting spark for a journey of more free visual exploration. Since the spring of 2019 I’m painting on a little more regular basis. The more I paint, the more I’m enjoying it. It allows me to continuously discovering new aspects and joyful approaches, and even new ways of approaching life…
I’m painting abstractly, mostly in acrylic, but have recently started to explore how to integrate other materials in the paintings as well. I see my paintings as visual poetry, some with a higher degree of representation, other with a stronger emphasis on colours, rhythm and the expression itself.
I’m inspired by nature, colours, shapes, other artists’ work and life itself, there are endless ways to inform the art practice and I guess that’s why it engage and inspires me so strongly. For me the art making is an arena for free exploration, joy, and a manifestation of intuition and fantasy.
